wow, so a 2 hour special of hell's kitchen on tonight.

i reckon 'sara' is going to get voted off - she's a right old cow. Her 'Jerry Hall-esque' accent is all very fine and dandy, but she's a bit of a bitch towards the other contestants. Especially when she blatantly dropped Heather in the shite.
Nasty piece of work. Nul points.

Keith 'that's how i roll, man' could possibly win it, but then he is a bit of a fat sweaty copper if ever there was one.

what excitement
it doesn't get much better than this...

another day's work

well this time just half a day to be precise - sorting out uninterruptible power supplies for this construction company in the middle of nowhere.
actually they were based in a portakabin on this new housing estate.
haven't seen anything like it - all these brand new houses, with a golf course in the middle of it.
superb.
and the woman in the office offered me a piece of this home made pie.
very nice too - although not sure what fruit it was made of - it was blue, so i can assume it was blueberry.
what excitement on a thursday afternoon.

currently playing football manager 2006, since there is sod all on the television, bar america's got talent, which is simply laughable.
the "rappin' granny" gets through to the semi final - unreal.
still, as mr. hasslehoff is one of the judges, its almost worth watching.

what a laff - gordon ramsay reducing americans to tears.
whatever next.
although have to say i am surprised with who he kicked off

shame canada's next top model has finished... i thought alanna should have won though.
- what to watch now then?

like it like it like it

so matey gets married

yes, well matey steve got married at the weekend - shame i wasn't there. by all accounts sounds like a bit of a grin, as was the stag do.
haven't been able to get in touch with him yet, howevever sent a few texts, but a text from a uk mobile in canada to an nz mobile in uk is bound to cause issues.

and talking of phones - bloody fido - what a con
so i've got a pay as you go phone, but when you go to top it up, a $15 topup only lasts 2 weeks. Eh? - so after 2 weeks all credit you have got, is gone. Not only that, but you have to pay to receive calls... what's that all about.
absolute rubbish.

not recommended.

well day 1 of 1 - job in canada

yes, so did my 9 hour stint at new job yesterday.
About 20 minutes away by bus, lots of french-canadians and one american - what a jolly bunch. Although somewhat surprised that no one had watched any of the world cup - what's that all about. The most popular sport on the planet obviously not striking a chord with the locals.

work atmosphere: 7/10 - boss bloke kept himself to himself, and colleague ok.
facilities: 3.5/10 - grim, but reasonably fragrance-free
coffee/tea facilites: 6/10 - bonus point cause it was free
distance from homestead: 5/10 - not too far by bus, but bus only once every half an hour.

well now need to sort out the funds side of things, to make sure i get my pennies from the agency.

possibly have to put the down payment on the yacht on hold for the time being.
splendid.

and this just made me laugh

eventually - a job

well would you adam and eve it - it appears that one of the many recruitment agencies is finally able to to deliver the goods.

yes, a whole day's work, and its only half an hour by bus away.

can't wait.

with the earnings, i might be able to pay for a trip to the cinema.
by myself.

so been in the country for 3 months 22 days and this is the best i can come up with.
great.

don't hassle the hoff

marlboro lights

so i goes over to the local newsagents - and am told that they do not sell marlboro lights, since they are illegal in canada.

what's that all about?

so no chance getting 20 b&h then i suppose.

maybe that's why chocolate hob nobs are so expensive...

perhaps they are considered contraband, and have to be smuggled in under nightfall.

well - a touch cooler today - was about 30 or so + the humidity yesterday.

mind you - it would appear that uk is virtually tropical at the moment

right, well i'm off for a sly ciggie and to put the washing on - what an entertaining life i lead...

says it all really

ihateronaldo.com

well, at the end of the day he asked for it.

not really fussed about the world cup now.

think i would sooner watch the lovely maria sharapova at wimbledon.

what's that all about?

a touch of humour, as the world cup continues, but quite frankly, who cares, now.
