bored out of my tiny little mind once again in ottawa

yes well been here for nearly 5 months, and would like to say that i am thoroughly enjoying it.
well i can say it, but i think i would be lying.
sounds a bit harsh, but not much fun when you're 'straight outta lo-cash' to coin a phrase.

today, cycled to a local cheeky hip-hop style record shop, that used to sell superb mix cds and breakbeat albums. alas, that has closed down and is now a punk/new-wave shop instead.

not my bag, baby, but did have a rather good window display. and if you look at the record on the left hand side, it is none other than this one.

marvelous - now did the 70s throwback matey in the shop realise what an icon ms. woodhouse was? or just taking the piss.
the next shop along had the blue peter annual 1979 written by john noakes.

- it didn't actually.

bored out of my tiny little mind

well, soddus allus from the agencies, although have seen a cheeky job with cbc. what a result, the job spec didn't have fluent french in the pre-requisites.
fingers crossed i get a somewhat favourable response, however i am not holding my breath...

bored bored bored today. weather has chilled a touch, so not quite as tropical as it has been recently.

still, we have the mighty hell's kitchen on once again - its the final tonight, and i reckon heather will win it.
shame i have no cash to put a wager on it.
not the most flattering of photos, granted.

austrian chocolate wafers

well, i had no idea that austria was a force in the world chocolate wafer market, but after trying a 'Manner' chocolate wafer, it appears that they are.
still not as good as the pink ones in family circle though.

lost at football once again

oh dear
played football last night once again in a mid table clash in the ottawa sports and social association pool 2. and we lost, cause we were shite.
mind you, the opposition got a bit fruity - going in a bit strong on some challenges, bearing in mind its only a 'jumpers for goalposts' type affair in the middle of a park. most unsporting.

and new film out soon - 'snakes on a plane' - what's that all about?
looks like a good one to miss.

question

ok, so what's the score with the contestants on wheel of fortune?
why do they constantly clap for no reason - even when they get an answer wrong, and lose all their winnings? - i reckon they have a big elastic band around both wrists or something.
honestly, they are like seals at feeding time.

and how thick are some of them - the clue is something like 'fruit' and the clue is b_nana.
and they say 'can i have an 'o' please.
whatever next.

oh, and hell's kitchen once again was a winner.
surprised fat sweaty keith got voted off - since he was the best throughout the last 7 shows, and had a mare and a row this time. So now between the two birds.
what excitement for a monday evening.

a hot one

wow so that was definitely a hot one yesterday.
how foolish it was to play football in it - a mid-table clash in the ottawa sports and social association league. lost 2-0 due to lack of fitness and technical ability, but no matter, all good fun.
not a game for the purists, and i doubt the highlights will be on espn sports.
managed to get a lift to save a 30 minute cycle ride to the venue, so that was a bit handy.

ridiculously hot in the night and humid in the night as well - surely must be due some rain soon...

still sod all from the job agencies as regards jobs, however a bit of good news in that i won a couple of bicycles from a competition on the telly.
how bizarre - just rang up, answered a question as to the location of the presenter, left a message and they rang back saying i had one.
steamed down to the studio downtown and collected 2 bicycles -
fairly decent mountain bikes as it happens (although one is a kids size one, but one cannot grumble). thanks very much A-channel, and thanks very much schwinn.

told ya!

yes, and sara was voted off.
what an exciting episode, and obviously discussed with graham who is in florida, and funnily enough the pictures he was seeing were a good 20 seconds behind us.
how bizarre - must be something to do with the storms down there.

mind you - stormy windows here as well last night.
always nice to be woken up at half 3 in the morning by claps of thunder.

well its going to be a hot one today - already 31 degrees and its not even half eleven in the morning.
- time for the air conditioning methinks.
not relishing a stroll in to town, and playing football tonight in the heat could be fun...

yes its the mighty red devils in the ottawa sports and social association soccer pool 2.
a mid table clash this evening - we await the match report
